THE MISSION
During the COVID-19 pandemic, science was deemed a low priority and therefore not emphasized in the elementary school curriculum. This has caused severe deficiencies in the subject, especially in children who are now fourth, fifth, and sixth graders. Project STEMkits aims to work with teachers to mend these deficiencies through hands-on projects, a research-based teaching method.
Discover
Learning
We teach the basis of STEM concepts that spark curiosity and wonder. We focus to present engaging exploration of topics through videos, reading materials, and interactive lessons.
Building
Creates hands-on projects that deepen students’ understanding of STEM concepts. We teach by constructing models, such as building a cell, and experimenting with different materials.
Practicing
Applies practice education through experiments, challenges, and activities designed to reinforce key STEM concepts. We conduct investigations, analysis, and form conclusions together.
Reinforcing
Provides opportunities for students to review and reinforce their learning. Using quizzes, discussion prompts, and reflection exercises, we ensure the education is mastered.
